FESTUCA

FESTUCA

POACEAE

Fescue is a narrow-leaved grass, which usually has attractively coloured, often glaucous, foliage. Small, delicate plumes are carried on narrow stems above the foliage.

About 450 perennial species can be found growing wild on mountains, hills, plains and meadows across the world’s temperate regions, but few of these are common in cultivation.

They are best grown in an exposed site, with well-drained soil, to simulate the conditions they experience in the wild.
