Plume Poppy is a tall, upright, architectural plant grown for both flowers and foliage, ideal for the back of the border. They spread quickly and can be invasive in the wrong location.

There are just two species, native to China and Japan. Both are grown in cultivation, along with a hybrid between the two species.

They are happy in sun or part-shade, but prefer a moist, fertile soil to thrive.
