Catmint is an easy-to-grow deciduous perennial with scented leaves and clusters or spikes of flowers, usually in shades of blue or purple, but also white or yellow, over a long period. 

There are some 250 species found across Europe, Asia and North Africa, in a wide range of habitats. 

Most are best grown in full sun, with well-drained soil.
