OENOTHERA
OENOTHERA
ONAGRACEAE
Evening Primrose produce large, delicate, cup-shaped flowers, often in shades of pink, yellow or white. Each flower lasts just one day, although many are produced in succession.
There are about 80 annual, biennial and perennial species, native to the North American prairies and meadows, but most of these are not in cultivation.
They grow best in full sun, with reasonably fertile, well-drained soil and will tolerate periods of drought.
