Pasque Flowers have deeply cut, feathery foliage, topped by large, bell-shaped flowers. These are followed by fluffy, silver seedheads in summer.
There are about 30 deciduous species, native to mountain grassland and stony slopes in Europe, North America and Asia, but only one is common in gardens.
Full sun and well-drained soil is ideal. Winter wet and root disturbance is not tolerated.
