CHELONOPSIS
CHELONOPSIS
LAMIACEAE
This genus is often overlooked, but is valuable for its late autumn colour. It produces clusters of flowers in a range of colours from white and yellow to purple and red.
Native to Asia, there are 16 herbaceous and shrubby species growing wild from the Himalayas to Japan, but predominately in China.
These are best suited to sun or part shade and a fertile, humus-rich soil.
