Crown Vetch produces clusters of pea flowers and has attractive leaves made up of many small leaflets. Many have perfumed flowers.

20 species of annual, perennial and shrubby plants can be found growing in woods and on cliff faces across Europe and North Africa.

These plants require reasonably fertile, but well-drained soil and a sunny position. Soil that is too rich produces vigorous growth and reduces flowering.
